Philosophy
We believe that every child has a unique story worth telling. Through the arts, we help our students discover who they are — their backgrounds, experiences, and values — and find the confidence to express it in their own voice.
We see every Kim Gek as a creative changemaker waiting to emerge.
Art Programme
Our Art programme equips girls with the skills and confidence to create across a wide range of mediums — from ceramics and painting to sculpture, photography, and digital design. Beyond technique, we want our students to develop a genuine love for art and an appreciation of its role in our world.
Through their creative journey, students build technical craft, learn to persist through challenges, and grow into confident thinkers who can envision and express ideas that are uniquely their own. Their growth is captured through portfolio assessment, reflecting not just what they make, but how they develop as artists over time.
Music Programme
Our Music programme is designed to nurture a lifelong love and appreciation for the arts. Through exposure to a wide range of genres and musical traditions, we help our students develop their listening skills and deepen their understanding of music and its beauty.
Students will learn to sing, play the recorder, ukulele, handchimes, and other percussion instruments, and explore music theory and vocal training along the way. Through our Digital Music modules, they will also have the opportunity to compose music of their own.
We take pride in weaving in traditional forms of music too — including angklung and ethnic percussion — so that our students grow up with an appreciation for the rich musical heritage around them.
